Beth Ann Reid Receives CCCMHB Highest Honor

At its 40th Anniversary Celebration/Annual Meeting, the Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board (CCCMHB) presented its most prestigious award—the Kathleen Burton Memorial Award to Beth Ann Reid, R.G., Manager of Client Services of Adult Guardianship Services. This award was created to honor the life of Mrs. Kathleen Burton, a psychiatric nurse and active member of the CCCMHB who passed away in 1998. This award is open to mental health professionals who have exemplified a strong dedication and compassion to caring for people living with mental illness.

Ms. Reid has been with AGS for nine years. As Manager of Client Services Beth oversees all intakes, assignment of cases, and coordinates with the Probate Court. She uses the restrictions of guardianship to motivate her wards. She advocates aggressively for the least restrictive living environment and the highest degree of independence that each individual is capable of having.

Beth has high expectations for her colleagues and leads by example. She was one of the first in Ohio to become a registered guardian by the Center for Guardianship Certification. AGS is proud to recognize Beth for her outstanding leadership to AGS and to the improvement of guardianship services in Ohio.
